At 9:40 p.m. on Oct. 1， the deputy was working traffic control at the high school when he saw Johnsons car approaching on Southeast 240th Street. He tried to flag the car down. The car blew by the deputy， then skidded to a stop as pedestrians crossed the street in front of the vehicle.

The driver who was later identified as Brandee Johnson told (the deputy) that she did not see the illuminated traffic revision， the pedestrians on the roadway， the flashing police lights， or any of the deputies， the detective said in charging documents.

The deputy approached the car and noticed that the driver smelled of alcohol and told her to put the car in park， which she did， a King County detective told the court.

The deputy suffered a minor back injury， as well as bruises and swelling of his elbow， shoulder and foot.

A football coach for Kentlake High School pursued the car and called 911. Deputies were then able to find Johnson and her vehicle， and place her undercar game arrest.

The deputy then told Johnson to turn off the car， according to charging documents. When she refused， the deputy reached inside the car and tried to turn off the ignition.
